Plantas que podemos plantar en invierno

In addition to knowing which crops can adapt well to this winter season, GARDENWEB also recommends that you perform the following tasks in your garden.

  1. Start planning your spring planting: if you start organizing and sowing in January the plants you will grow in spring, you can enjoy the harvests much earlier.

  2. Protect the garden from the cold: in the case of more sensitive plants (such as seedlings), they need to be in small greenhouses.

  3. Apply slow-release fertilizers: in our case, we recommend Osmocote fertilizers, as they are designed to be applied in crops where it is important to minimize release during the first 2-3 months. For example, in winter, when the demand for nutrients decreases due to the winter dormancy of plants.

  4. Apply a layer of vermicompost: this will help the soil retain heat and moisture for longer. In this article, we explain how to make vermicompost.

  5. Be careful with watering: it is important to reduce the frequency of watering during the cold months, otherwise you run the risk of causing waterlogging.
