Aromatic herbs are ideal plants for anyone who is still a bit green (no pun intended) when it comes to cultivation.
We say they are ideal for beginners because they are easy-to-care-for and accessible vegetables that can be kept in pots indoors. Therefore, if you want to have plants like parsley, rosemary, dill, or mint (among others), we recommend reading this GardenWeb article where we will explain how to grow aromatic herbs at home. Follow our tips to have a small home garden!
What aromatic herbs can I grow?
Obviously, the first thing we should consider is which plants we will choose to grow. To choose well, we will have to take into account, on the one hand, our personal tastes since these plants are theoretically for adding to our dishes. And on the other hand, we will have to take into account the sowing calendar, as some can be sown and grown all year round, but others may be seasonal.
Which pots to choose for aromatic herbs
Aromatic herbs do not require a special type of pot, but it is advisable that they are neither too large nor too small. That is, we will have to look for a medium size for this type of plant. In these cases, we recommend some pots from our online store such as the terra container, which is a basic product that allows cultivation at the lowest possible cost. Or also the Casiopea planter, a decorative pot with an included saucer that allows the cultivation of several aromatic plants.
Substrates and fertilizers: which one should I choose?
Since the pots we should choose for this type of plant will not be large, it is advisable that the substrate is of good quality, as this way we will hardly need to fertilize. We can also choose to make our own soil by mixing universal substrate with other compounds such as compost.
