Leaves consume nutrients, and if we also consider that when this tree is removed from the ground, some of its roots have broken, then we face a really critical situation for the transplanted tree. If the tree has no leaves, it needs less sap, so the roots hardly work and can strengthen, managing to root in their new location.

For all these reasons, when the tree is newly transplanted, it is very weakened, and it is essential to place a stake next to its trunk to ensure its correct growth, as it needs the help of a support to secure its roots and prevent it from growing crooked or breaking due to wind action.
