Back pain, lower back pain, arm pain, and/or wrist pain... these are some of the injuries we can sustain if we work in the field.

Many times, when we dedicate ourselves to gardening or agriculture, we end up with some pain in our back, lower back, shoulders, and/or wrists, among others. And this, in addition to being caused by the effort made, is due to poor posture. That's why today we are going to give you some tips to minimize and avoid as much as possible the most common injuries in these sectors.

Tips to avoid injuries at work

If you don't want to suffer from some of the injuries we mentioned earlier, we recommend you follow these tips:

  1. Don't overwork yourself. By this, we mean that it is preferable to maintain our garden throughout the year rather than getting down to business when spring is just around the corner.

  2. Kneel and squat rather than bending your back. This way we will distribute the weight better and our movements will be lighter and more natural. We usually adopt a bad posture when we are sowing or harvesting.

  3. Rest. It is not good to work marathon shifts. The ideal is to take breaks and stretch so that the muscles do not get overloaded.

  4. Ask for help, especially if you are going to work with heavy loads or with any material or tool that you are not very familiar with. This way we will avoid accidents.

  5. Use appropriate clothing and protection. Because injuries can occur while working, we can cut ourselves, get something stuck, suffer burns from chemicals... and that is why we should always use gloves, shoes, clothing, and even protective glasses.

With these tips, we hope to have helped you and, as always, we await you in our online store to offer you all kinds of materials to always keep your garden perfect.
